Yorkshire Baking Club had an action-packed and very successful launch event on Saturday. There were pizza doughs being flung in the air, amazing chocolate drizzle cake created in front of our very eyes. Nancy was the star of the show and kept us captivated with her baking tip and cake stories while baking the lightest of cakes filled with delightful tangy lemon curd cream. Her secret to melting in the mouth pastry, evenly baked to perfection was shared with us when making her Devine Frangipani apricot tart.

We have captured a few fun images to share with you from the day which we hope shows you how much fun baking can be.

We were stunned to hear all of your wonderful comments, “a fabulous location with a friendly relaxed atmosphere”, “felt like I learned a lot and would practice at home without worry”, “I would definitely recommend to family and friends”, “I love the idea of not buying pastry anymore”,”enjoyed the variety of the live demonstrations. A fun and thoroughly enjoyable day for all ages. Liked the interactive and hands-on approach. Food-tasting was delightful.”

Nancy’s comments, “Friendly staff, attention to detail, fabulous surroundings, amazing enthusiasm, All brand new.”

We will be taking onboard our guest suggests and will be offering half-day courses and evening courses for all you busy people. Please check our calendar for updates.

We would like to welcome any group bookings which can be tailor-made to suit you and your budget. Just give Jacqui a call to discuss on 07970690546.

Our facilities are ideal for team building events and corporate away days, again we encourage you to call us to discuss your requirements.

We at the Yorkshire Baking Club offer fun and professional baking courses for individuals or groups. There are few things more rewarding than making your own professional-quality bread, pastry or cakes — and you can learn to do it at home.

With teaching from experienced professional, Jacqui Jackson who helped pioneer the caterpillar cake and Mr Kipling’s Cherry Bakewells, you can learn to make artisan bread, stunning cakes or the flakiest pastries.

If you would like to reserve courses for 2019 please give Jacqui a call on 07970 690546 to arrange

Professional and Experienced Teaching

Jacqui Jackson, experienced and professional baker, has quite a few claims to baking fame. She was instrumental in the creation of the first caterpillar cake, the Jaffa Cake mini roll, Thorntons caramel shortcakes and many more of the nation’s favourites. An expert in bread, cake and pastry making, she loves to bring her knowledge to newbie bakers and wanna-be professionals alike.

She has over 30 years experience in baking and food science, having worked with Lyons Cakes, Manor Bakeries and McVities, and is even one of the reasons you can buy flapjack in supermarkets. (Thank you, Jacqui!) Her passion for baking flavours every part of her life, not just the professional; she loves to bake at home for family and friends. She wants to enable everyone to be able to do the same and be proud of their creations. Jacqui loves to share her industry-leading and tummy-pleasing knowledge with people throughout Yorkshire and further afield.
